Nucleus’ Partnership With Ad Club Kicks Off At Advertising People Of The Year Ceremony

Nucleus recently kicked off its year-long partnership with Ad Club, New York’s premiere advertising industry organization, at its Advertising People of the Year celebration on Tuesday, July 18 held at Current overlooking Chelsea Piers in Manhattan.

The 2017 honorees included:

Fernando Machado, Head of Brand Marketing, Burger King
Marketer of the Year

Beth Comstock, Vice Chair, GE
Industry Legend of the Year

Henry Timms, Executive Director, 92nd Street Y
New Yorker of the Year

Rachel Tipograph, Founder & CEO, MikMak

Sara Sindelar, Next Gen Intrapreneur, IBM
Rising Star of the Year


Nucleus’ Real Headlines Challenge

The cocktail party before the awards ceremony included a custom activation of Nucleus’ “The Real Challenge” in which attendees were asked to read a headline and decide if it was “real” or “fake.” The “real” headlines were sourced from trusted news brands within the Nucleus alliance. Also included among the headlines were fun and interesting factoids about the honorees — which schools they attended, major successes from their careers, for example. Only 59 percent of guests correctly guessed “real” from “fake” demonstrating that context and trusted sources matter.
